Now I run mbho's into a minime. Eventually it will be a v2> minime. My next purchase was going to be a set of hypers for the mbho's. I was wondering if it would be better to get a pair of TL's since they would cost about the same as the ka500 caps. That way I would get hypers and omnis.
Wanted to hear what the section had to say about this. Before any purchase is made I will check archive and give my ears the chance to decide.
Thanks for your input.

no brainer - TLs

Pair of ADK TLs for $550? That's what I paid for a pair of KA500H caps (thanks Frank at Casacade Media!) I've not heard enough samples from the TLs so I can't say its a no brainer but I thought they were closer to a grand (new)?
Otherwise, I'm loving the sound I get from the hypercaps in enormo-dome type situations! I never thought I would until now.

TL's(pair) new will run you about $700 or so with the latest price increase

still a no brainer, IMO. I've heard the MBHO hypers - the TL's sound nicer to me, plus you get the benefit of the other 3 patterns for an extra $150. The only thing the MBHO's have over the TL's is the "active cable" system and size - but of all the actives (Schoeps, Neumanns, DPAs, etc), I really don't like the long "neck" of the MBHO system.
