Title: YMEC Realtime Analyzer - useful software+web site?!
Post by: sunjan on February 22, 2009, 10:58:45 AM
I stumbled over this Japanese software suite:
http://www.ymec.com/eg.htm

These seems to be many useful applications for us. I can think of:
 - calibrating tape deck azimuth for transfers
 - matching microphone caps
 - testing/benchmarking soundcards and other equipment
 - fine tuning microphone placement for lappy taping

But maybe the features are antiquated, perhaps most other software these days have the same functionality (Wavelab)?

Anyway, there are a few tutorials that I found useful. How to check a soundcard and various inputs for shortcomings and faults, etc.

Opinions???

Get's expensive.

Get's expensive.

Yeah, I was thinking that the 30 day trial would be enough to get a feel for it.
But since I haven't played around much with other software, perhaps there's nothing unique about the feature set???
