Title: audiophile 2496/wavelab asio problem
Post by: Kyle on August 16, 2005, 02:01:28 AM
Hey all

I searched around for an answer to my question so here it is (sorry if this has already been covered)

I use the audiophile 2496 card and wavelab 5.0. Dat >spdif in> wavelab. I have been using the asio drivers and all a sudden they won't work. Wavelab will not pick up a signal.  I have tried reinstalling the drivers and wavelab but no go. If I use the standard m-audio drivers all is well. From what I have read the audiophile is only bit-perfect on playback when the asio drivers are used. Is this true for recording? I have many dats to transfer so if I do not need the asio for bit-perfect recording I am not going to use it.

Thanks in advance for any answers

Kyle

I could be wrong but I think it's only a issue with 24 bit sources.
