Title: external power for Sony D-10 pro2
Post by: waltmon on December 24, 2005, 03:53:49 PM
....What's the best solution for external power for the D10 pro2?   Internal battery packs don't seem to last very long, hower I found a retailer( in friggin New Zealand) that sells replacements, apparently this battery pack works with several differnent camcorders

Is it possible to power externally without that power converter?

                                                 thanks

You need a DCP80. Way hard to find. Although someone may jump in here with a diagram on how to hack a battery for use as a DCP80.

Hey I took the suggestion and hacked one of the D-10 batterries ( which is also used for camcorders)  I emptied out the batteries contents and soldered my wiring to the positive and negative contacts....soldered a fatty 4 pin Nutrix on the other end

I can run the D-10 pro2  either 5 or 9 hours depending on what size 8 volt I use...
