Title: Apogee vs. Lynnx
Post by: Sonic Sense on February 14, 2006, 10:58:10 AM
I thought you might be interested in this thread on the Gearslutz website. A studio owner compared the Lynx Aurora with the Apogee AD16X and DA16X and made his recordings available. Note that #1 is Aurora and #2 is Apogee, although several people listening did not know that until later in the series of emails. Very interesting reading.

Aurora is slated for several major reviews over the next few months. The March issue of Pro Audio Review and the April Mix will feature Aurora / AES16 reviews.  Aurora will also be on the cover of Pro Audio Review. Craig Anderton will review the Aurora 8 on Harmony Central and in EQ magazine. And Recording is also working on an Aurora 8 review slated for this spring.

Cheers,
Parker

the lynx was clocked to an external clock, which hada tremendous effect on the outcome.
similar test was done here in may 05 http://www.mercenary.com/lystau8andau.html
