Rode NT-4 and ST-9100......can they work together??
« on: June 30, 2008, 03:03:43 AM »
Hey everyone,

Im wanting to record a small ensemble using a NT4 -> ST-9100 -> RB H120 and was wondering if the mic and preamp can be used together? I just want to make sure that the 9v coming out of the st9100 wont screw up the mic in any way.

Thanks in advance.

Generally speaking, it should be able to handle it, but the mic won't benefit from external powering unless it's P48, AFAIK.
So you still would have to power it with an internal 9V battery:

Just to be sure, why don't you drop Rode a line and ask directly?
