That's awesome. I remember reading many threads where you were bummed that international shipping had been suspended. Congratulations on getting your new toy!
Did they hit your up for import duty?
I did go on about that shipping restriction a lot, didn't I? It was worth the wait though.
And yes, they did get me for import taxes: £64! (including a £13 "admin" charge)... That stung a bit but it's all money well-spent as far as I'm concerned.
Nice rig, keep us posted as I'd love to hear the DPAs with output transformers on an amplified rock show
Yes, me too. (Looking forward to checking out that Charlie Hunter recording when I get home). Can't see any gigs of interest over the next couple of weeks though... I'll have to find something soon, I'm desperate to see what this little thing can do.
The ole 'admin charge' huh? That's capitalism at it's worst, isn't it? It's not enough to charge you a tax, but then they have to charge you to administer the tax...whatever the hell that means. What's next? A processing fee to figure out how to apply the admin charge on the tax? Oh well, glad you're happy with your tinybox.
BTW, I didn't think you went on and on about the shipping restrictions...I just remember you were one of the guys that was frustrated about that restriction because you wanted a tinybox.
BTW X2...you're just the latest person (me included) to comment how amazed they are that the tinybox is so tiny. Pictures just don't do it justice. I've said this before, but I really do believe that Jon is a true innovator and it's amazing the features and options packed into such a small package. And just think about this...Tinybox V3.0 will have a digital signal processor with tons of additional options for on-board gain controls, level balancing, and so forth. Just amazing.
