Topic: Wavelab Matrix Help Needed Badly(NooB content)

Hey guys, well ive been messing with this montage for about the last two hours, used search, found the tutuorials and the suggestions and its just not sinking in.  I cant get dick to line up, tried using the time stretch and it made it worse.  the drift is pretty bad, about 104 milliseconds towards the end of the first track!!   So, my request, to all you experts out there, would you be willing to take this off my hands and sync it up for me for whatever you think is jsut compensation. This is for the bad i archive for, while the quality isnt the best, i know the joining of the aud and sbd will make it listenable.  ANYONE, please PM me if you can help me out.  I can send pre broken up tracks or both 90 minute files, right now the sbd is broken up into about 80 pieces and the aud is intact as 1 track.  let me know guys.

I read that, theres nothing on there about time stretch.  i had drift at the end of a 5 minute track, tried timestretching and it didnt really line up at all.  at the end of the frist track, it was 104 milliseconds off.  i understand everything about lining up and zoom and all that, i just cant get the end of the track lined up at all and have had many issues with timestretch

OK, here is what I do.  No time stretch crap.  You would never know that there are miniscule SBD gaps in between songs because the AUD maintains continuity.

1) I keep AUD track as one long file and load it into the montage as a stereo track.
2) I chop up my SBD source into tracks using CDWave.
3) I insert track#1 of the SBD source a stereo track.
4) I zoom about 2/3 of the way in and line it up to the ms. 
5) rinse and repeat
6) at the end lower or raise the volume of each track to your liking (i.e. SBDhi and AUDlow, or vice versa), then repeat that for each track.

tips:

Listen for even the slighest echos to clue you in that you are out of sync. 
Look for your SBD and your AUD to be out of phase.  You may need to flip one to match up the peaks and valley's easier. 
Typically I Keep my AUD at a high volume and raise the volume of the SBD track until the bass and/or vocals crisp up and then stop before it begins to kill the ambiance of the AUD sound.  Ymmv.

I use the time stretch and get good results.  Just make sure your sbd and aud source start at the EXACT same point in the recording and end at the EXACT same spot.  Then go to the end of the lonfer file and place a marker(or whatever it is called) and go to shorter file and right click.  Choose transform, time stretch.  I don't render but record it back in real time.  I know this is not how the majority of everyone else does it but as of yet have had no issues using this method.  Just seems to require less of my time and energy this way.  I have a matrix up on etree(link in kickdown) if anyone wants to hear the results of this method.

I just did my third one with great results.  the first two I simply lined up both long wave files and it worked.  both sources were from jb3's (every time) so the time hasn't been much of an issue (was on the third one but not bad).    the one I did the other day I used the link posted above and it was not hard at all.  it took some time but again it wasn't hard.

the problem i have and why i want to outsource this show to some more well versed in multitracking is due to time drift that is bad from 2 differerent word clocks.  if the clocks were very close or the same, it wouldnt be an issue, but i couldnt get time stretch or anything to work on my end since im very inexperienced.
