no problem Ray, we are moving around a lot of the archive threads so they are easy to miss right now.  good luck.  btw, moke's advice to use masking tape to tape down the wire that you are soldering with masking tape is very good advice.

Thank ya sir, and I have bookmarked those sites. Was also wandering if there were any general purpose soldering resources, as those seem to focus just on xlr cables, and circuits..

there's some more stuff on general cable construction in the cable forum in the archive.  the actual exercise of soldering itself is always the same.  if you're asking about making different types of cables, you should look for that info as well.  by the way, i'm gonna move this to the cables forum...
