V2 and 440

With the digigram v2 and 440 can you record with all the inputs at the same time?  As in matrix?

Don't know about the 440; but the V2 only allows recording from one source at a time, i.e., either digital in or analog in

My experience is that the MME USB driver and the VX Pocket V2 will conflict if you try to use them together. Could just be my laptop (Dell Inspiron 8200). There's even a note on the Digigram site (and I think the MOTU site also, oddly enough) that my particular lappy has a conflict problem with the cardbus controller. But I seem to remember that it has to be one or the other.

I have a friend running some experiments with an M-Audio 1814 and Wavelab 5 to see what's possible with multitrack 24-bit recording. My goal is to have 4-6 discrete tracks pulled in to the lappy during recording and do the 'matrixing' post-production.

I was looking at the 1814.  Let me know how that goes.

He did a recording last night; but I probably won't hear about it till Monday. I have a 'long term loan' of an 1814 from a friend; and we're trying to figure out if it's what we're looking for...or whether the spending of larger amounts of $$$ is in the offing.

I got a V2 and a 440. Love the hell outta them both. As mentioned earlier, you can only use digi or analog. Not both at the same time (or the USB option). The 440 has 4 XLR analog ins. I have run 4 channels (SBD + Mics) @ 24bit and everything turned out awesome.
I don't know just where I'm going
But I'm gonna try for the kingdom, if I can

I use my 440 for 4 chan matrix's all the time, works great.  As was stated, you cannot use the digi and analog at the same time, just one or the other.
