Title: I need a new transport - New Help finding a low price
Post by: Chuck on January 02, 2005, 01:02:36 AM
My trusty APEX AD-1500 crapped out last night...

I'm looking at the Onkyo DV-SP502

It does DVD-A and SACD and it works, unlike my current DVD player.

The lowest price I have so far is $269 from Crutchfield, shipped.

Does anyone know of a cheaper place to buy?

Crutchfield is never the cheapest price on anything.
did you check out audiogon?  did you do some price surfing in google or anything?

I get no matches at Audiogon and when I Google it the best price I get is Crutchfield.

+T Thanks :)
Cool, Vanns has free shipping and no tax for me too.

Well, I ended up getting the Sony DVP-NS775. I found a damaged box special at my local Circuit City for $99.

I'm happy with my choice. It played everything I feed it flawlessly. It doesn't have DVD-A though... I read someehere that there is a way to burn a 24 bit source to DVD and any DVD player can play it. Does anybody know about this?
