So, I reccently re-arranged my playback room and digital audio workstation (DAW).
It had been set-up in the middle of my room, which was good for the sound, because I didn't have anything directly behind me or the speakers (Tannoy Reveals). Now, I have it set-up so the speakers are backed into a corner, and of course I have noticed a warm colouring to the mid-bass due to the boundry effect.
My questions...
Other than moving the DAW back into the middle of the room, how can I control the now obvious boundry effect the walls are having on my speakers? What room treatments actually work and are worth the money? The Reaveals have 6" woofers and are ported in the back. I have thought about trying to plug the port, but I'm not sure how that will affect the accuracy of the speakers? According to the manual, they do recommend pluging the port if you are running a sub-woofer. And, if I do plug the port, what can I use?
Anyway.. If you have real world experience here, I could use some advice...
