lets say you get 5 hrs at 16/44.1would you get less at 24/44.1and less at 24/48even less at 24/96trying to figure out, based on peoples run times posted and what i would run at most of the time, if i can go by the times posted or if they are not "accurate" to methanks

Not sure how much more battery time you'd get running 16bit vs. 24bit, but you could easily test that yourself.
Compact Flash I/O is very low power... I would be shocked if there was an appreciable difference in battery life between 16+24 or 48+96...
