Had a last minute need for a battery powered phantom power supply. This one came recommended on the Gear Loaner section:
http://www.guitarcenter.com/ART-Phantom-II-Pro-Phantom-Power-Supply-485588-i1519781.gc
I have been wanting to pull the trigger on a tinybox for a while now, but with the ART box above being recommended, I am wondering what people who own them thought of each and what they felt were the pros and cons of each.
Thanks!

I wouldn't say "recommended". The ART is junk, IMO. But you said you needed a DC Powered Phantom Supply ASAP and that you couldn't wait for a mail order product...
If you have the time to wait, the Denecke PS2 is a better supply... And the TinyBox is a PreAmp...

Every Art box I have ever opened up has been a tragic disappointment in both quality and design. I think its important to support our local builders my self and guys like Jon. So if I had to choose there would not be much choice. You always get what you pay for you buy cheap Chinese junk. IMHO.

I think the tinybox is an obvious winner. Both will do the job, but the tinybox will function as a pream as well, which is a big bonus. I run all naiant pres and love them all. Jon's stuff is a great build every time, and if ever you have an issue be stands by his product no matter what, being fixing any issue. The customer service alone would do it for me, that and keeping the money in the community. Which then he can use to make even better products, which he does! I'd go naiant all the way.
Also reliability the art is more likely to have problems, the naiant products are tanks.

Thanks for all your opinions.
I don't think I will be needing to use the ART for some time now so I will return it to GC.
I've been wanting to pull the trigger on a tinybox for sometime so this should push me closer.

just do it! Order a Tinybox! The hundreds of tapers on this site using them arent just a coincidence, its because theyre built like tanks, and most importantly, sound fugn AWESOME!!!
BTW, what mics are you running? That will most likely determine if you should get the Output Transformers as well ;)

Bump for yet another happy naiant user.
I run the now discontinued littlebox. Jon was kind enough to build a m/s converter into the pre. It was inexpensive, performs flawlessly, and sounds fantastic.

In stealth, CSBs.
