Very soft, regular, clicking noise, only in one channel
« on: February 08, 2026, 03:05:03 AM »
I've made a few recordings recently where I noticed some random clicks, louder in one channel but also audible in the other.

I'm using Sennheiser ME-104 microphones, Sound Professionals 12v battery box model SP-SPSB-10, and a Sony PCM-A10 recorder.

Now I just got back a show and my recordings (both acts) have a tiny click in just the right channel, which is very regular - one click every .7 seconds.  The left channel sounds fine, and the right channel click is only really noticeable in the quiet portions of the acoustic set.

Does anyone have any idea what could have caused this?  I used exactly the same equipment the night before and didn't have the issue.

Attached is a screenshot of what the clicks look like in RX11 spectral view.

This is caused by the A10.

In the bluetooth menu turn OFF NFC.

This is caused by the A10.

In the bluetooth menu turn OFF NFC.

Wow, that was quick!  I guess this is a known common issue?  I checked, and the NFC was set to on.  I wonder how that would have happened though - I didn't deliberately turn it on, and the previous night's recording didn't have the issue.

But anyway, if this is the fix, then it's great to know there isn't a real problem with any of my equipment.  I just hope it doesn't keep turning itself back on.
