Seagate NAS and FTP

I have a Seagate Central NAS:
https://www.seagate.com/files/www-content/support-content/external-products/seagate-central/en-us/seagate-central-user-guide-us.pdf
Seagate has informed me the free portal I use, Tappin:
https://remoteaccess.tappin.com
will not work anymore starting in April. Meaning I will lose remote access to my files.
So, I've been trying to figure out how to access my files remotely via FTP on my NAS.
I have figured out how to get into the public folder, but I can't get into the private, password protected folder remotely for some reason.
Anyone out there have the patience to help me figure out how to make this work via IM's or a phone call? IM me if you can help.
