They bill themselves as psychadelic funk rock brass music, and will be playing in a small jazz club next friday.  Didnt know if a particular style of mic is more suited to brass instruments, have AT4050s, and MG200/210s and maybe will have DPAs 4061s by then.

getting 50 bucks and free beer to record em, so lookin for suggestions as to mic types/patterns, configs , etc to do em right...

If they are mic'd individually > PA.  I'd run the MGs in a normal stereo pattern according to the venue, location etc.

no mics or few mics.  runt the AT's on stage split (omni) . It'd be nice to also add some AUD mics to this mix as well,

MK 4V > KCY 250/5 Ig (KS 10I)  > VST62IUg > 722

Good stuff Fozzy. they arent micd individually, in a small venue, so looks like the ats are the ticket.

will probably throw the m20s in there too.

most likely they will be playing into a set of thier own mics.  I'd just clamp on right under theirs.

I can see it now. A thread entitled: "ISO: ways to crotch an Allen & Heath or Soundcraft k2 plus accoutrements?"

EDIT: Please bear in mind I'm shit-faced... That being said:
