Hi Guys, I am filming a show from an upstairs balcony on a table.I need to get my camcorder
above a wooden edge lip/rail thats about 6 inches high. i normally use a mini tripod with 3 legs
but space is limited and stealth is needed and i was wondering if there is such a small tripod
available where the legs dont spread out so far,but allow the camcorder to elevate high
enough over the elevated wooden edge of the table.Any other ideas would be welcome.
I'm pretty tech savvy figuring stuff like this out but this one has me stumped.
i need to be upstairs where the edge is,downstairs works great, but if there are lots of people
your angle gets blocked and you get heads in the way. Thanks!! Bob

You could mebbe try a Gorillapod (http://joby.com/gorillapod) or something similar? Not sure how you would stealth it though, surround it with a few pitchers of beer perhaps ;D

Hi,
I have one that i use often but it wont give enough support
when legs are flattened.

Another option would be a Bogen/Manfrotto Super Clamp (http://www.amazon.com/Bogen-Manfrotto-Super-Clamp-Standard/dp/B00009R6BK/ref=pd_bxgy_p_img_b) with a Magic Arm (http://www.amazon.com/Manfrotto-244-Variable-Friction-Bracket/dp/B00193W3Z2/ref=pd_bxgy_e_img_b). Clamp it to a table, pipe, etc. and position the camera using the arm.
