Roland R-05 line input level
« on: March 22, 2013, 09:13:22 AM »
I read that the R-05 has a rated nominal input level of -7dBu. This is a very low figure. But then user 'pnoman' carried out a lot of tests:

http://www.b4net.dk/?page_id=111

and found out that the value is in fact more like -0.6dBu, which is quite close to the R-09HR spec value of +2dBu.

Pnoman also reports the max input level of +18dBu for the R-05 (at least I think that is what he was reporting??)...this is quite a reasonable figure and on the face of it enough for most people's need, although not as high as the M10 (+24) or the R-09HR (+28).

Does anybody have any direct experience on the R-05's ability to take hot line signals?
