Title: Running 2 dvd batteries in parallel

I have an Ultralast 9v 5400 mAh and a Lenmar 9v 2600 mAh.
I use hot swap cables for most of my gear.
Could I run the two batteries simultaneously in parallel on one of my cables?
I'm thinking the recorder would draw mostly from the 5400 until it reached the 2600 level and then draw equally from both.
I wish I had two 5400's but can't seem to get any retailer to ship me the right one.

Any experience with this setup?

I run my DR-680 that way all the time.  Don't know the exact drainage rate but one defiantly gets used faster then the other.

i run my V3 off a pair and my R-44 off a seperate pair like this.  haven't had any issues yet.

I have done the same thing.  The drain on both is equal IE: 50% coming from each one, your difference is that using up say 20% of the charge is not equal due to battery capacity.  So 20% of 5400mAh is a larger figure than 20% of 2300mAh.  The smaller battery will die first.  At that point I don't think the circuitry in the DVD battery allows for current to flow back in through the output jack so you shouldn't lose any battery life to the dead battery trying to pull current.
