Topic: Noob question on tracking shows and uploading to Panicstream/Archive.org

Hi everyone - Long time taper via DAT, new taper with Tascam DR-44WL...  I'm still a bit unsure of how to take my recordings and track them and upload them for sharing.

I just downloaded Audacity and was able to track out a Govt Mule show and upload it to Itunes for my listening pleasure but would love to share the show with others as I believe I was the only taper in attendance. 

My question is if I recorded 24/48 what are the proper steps to getting this uploaded into Archive or PS?

P.S - I have spent the last couple days reading thrrough some of the post already but still just a bit confused on the process.

You can upload 24/48 recordings to archive.org. I'm not certain what their file format requirements are, but I've always uploaded FLAC without any issue.

I was just able to get it uploaded to PanicStream and is now in the holding tank.

Gov't Mule isn't on the LMA, they have opted out (similar to the ABB).  If you are uploading to the LMA, in the band section, you have to choose the band (start typing the name and options show up to click).  If the name doesn't appear when you start typing it, they don't have a collection setup and you can't upload.
