Title: Question re SONY PCM-D1
Post by: dxace1 on February 28, 2021, 01:52:32 PM
New to the group and wondering if someone can answer:

What is the highest capacity card, whether Memory Stick or SDHC with adaptor,
that can be used in the PCM-D1?

What is the best Memory Stick to SD adaptor that works in this unit?

Thanks so much.

Here's what I use:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/Sony-Memory-Stick-Duo-Adapter-Only-20-90-00125-Made-in-China/114593414271

with one of these in it:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/Memory-Stick-MS-Pro-Duo-Memory-Card-for-Sony-32GB-PSP-1000-PSP-2000-PSP-3000/293685301445

mine is 16 GB, not 32.

unfortunately, I can only get the D1 to read 4 GB of it, which is about 3 & 1/2 hours of 24/48 recording.
I've tried a few other cards of various sizes, but after formatting, the machine only reads 4 GB.

I'd email sony and ask if there is a firmware update that would fix it, but they might laugh at me.
