How to measure PIP?
« on: April 11, 2010, 06:01:38 PM »
Did a search and came up with nothing.
I am trying to measure the mic plug in power on my new kodak zi8
I picked this up from harbor tools http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/displayitem.taf?Itemnumber=90899
but I have no idea what settings I should have it on.

I don't want to mess up my gear just curious what pip voltage I am getting.

thanks in advance

Edit:Figured it out. connected a 1/8" cable to the mic in. 200 Dcv setting on the multimeter. one probe on the tip. one on the sleeve.

zi8 Pip=2.3v
