Thanks for the samples.  A bit too much room, but tremendous potential. You have some great source material to record.  The BG1 excels in that environment.  You just need to work out the placement, and mics.

I thought it sounded pretty nice (on cheap headphones) last night.

Been using dav bg1s for several years and they are beautiful, sturdy workhorses with massive headroom.  Experiment to find proper gain structure.
