Shntool on OSX

Howdy Mac people.

well i got my vx pocket all set up, transferred a show and now im trying to figure out the whole shntool process for mac.  Im not familiar with shntool, nor really with the Terminal in OSX, but would like to learn how to use this and Shorten 3.4(or5)  if anyone out there can help coach me along i would be mighty grateful.

Dammit...I got it to work on my machine but I can't remember how. :-\ I've seen a few people ask this but nobody answers...maybe I'll go back, delete everything and reinstall, then post my findings here. I think there's a new version out anyway...
