that cant be good, did it always do that marc ???

i never hear audible noises when cranking gain on the v3 :P

never really ran 4022>mme for quiet music like that before. check out the parallel thread in the open forum. appatently this is normal for the mme, which blows.

At least now you know where to run your gains at for that type of show, so next time you probably won't have to make adjustments on the fly. No tweaking=no audible knob noise   :)

Only reason I had trouble was because it was soooo damn quiet for that Junkies show. for the acoustic set, I had them me wide open, and it took me a minute or two to figure that out.

I've noticed this problem with my MME. I took it to be dirt in the pots and had some one take a stab at cleaning them. It lessened the noise a bit; but if I turn the knobs during quiet passages or just a test setup at home, I do still notice it a little bit.
