USB port problems...
« on: January 31, 2006, 10:05:02 PM »
So i just got my laptop back after being in a repair facility for a month. One of the problems it was sent in for was USB issues. It wasn't printing, wasn't connecting to any plug and plays, nothing. Just got it back today. Well...i THOUGHT it was fixed, but it appears now that i might have jumped the gun. it connected fine to a plug and play DVD burner at work, but then about 90% through burning crapped out on me. it wouldnt print anything when i got home. i finally got it to print in black and white, but only in black in white. now, worst of all, i plugged it into my two external HDs, one at a time and neither would show up! nothing! tried different cables, nothing. they both had their on lights on, but no connection to the computer.

any advice. i know about the standard delete USB drivers, etc, but thats not doing it. any good ways to test a USB port?
