tascam hd-p2 and high rez audio

Just taped my first show at 24/96 last night with the Tascam HD-P2 and had the files set to split at 2gb. The show is split into two files. Which software do you recommend to join/merge the two files?
Also, how do I burn the 24/96 file? I assume to a dvd. Will a standard DVD player play that resolution? Do I need to get a DVD-A player to play this? Also, which software would I use to burn a high rez file?
