I might even post a sample tomorrow with a new combo that I don't think anyone is running.  Recording is SICK!  Band is even sicker  >:D

Edit to add:
Oh yeah, source is beyer 803's, not 930's.  The 803's are the predecessors but nearly identicle sonically.

I picked up a set and I'm very impressed.  I ran them for Dr. John outdoors and for Widespread Panic indoors and they sound great.  Sweetwater did them for $765 shipped.  I'll be running them this weekend for Gathering of the Vibes in Bridgeport,CT.  I can't wait to see Buddy Guy again, it's been a while.  I haven't learned how to upload shows yet but PM me your address and I'll send you some new music to check out.  Thanks for all the great info here, this site is the best !!! ;D

Jon, Ive listened to some of your latest recordings posted on etree.this is what has been selling me on these. the seem very devirse and they seem to my ear, they like to run hot and I bet they push great levels..

damn, you cant go wrong for 800,and get the same sound as....well I wont go there ::) haha

they sound like 5k mics!! and seem to make million dollar recordings.

any of you run these FOB within 10-15ft of stage?

I just got a pair of these.
I run far from the stage and close.  They sound great both ways.  But IMO, the quality of a mic is revealed when running far from the stage.

I've been doing a lot of of up-close recording with omnis (headworn, usually) and those are the best.  But I wanted to have a "standard" cardioid mic for typical recording (and matrices).  So these are great.  Also, as someone else said, they run *hot*, so you'll either need pads, or better yet, just run line-in (if you can still get a little gain this way).

Please DO NOT mail me with tech questions.  I will try to answer in the forums when I get a chance.  Thanks.
