Mini XLR F > 1/8" M cable?
« on: September 28, 2007, 12:08:33 AM »
Does a cable like this exist?  I have a Shure 183 lapel mic with Mini XLR male plug that was used on a wireless body pack.  I'd like to use to to do voice for video either plugged directly into my camera or a recorder for later syncing.  Could I chop it and terminate it into a normal mini plug?  How would I know which wire goes where if I did that.  I looked inside the plug and it has the normal red, black, and ground wire.  Is red and black for right and left or positive and negative?
