If you are running Leopard do not buy any audio editors before you know they will work with OSX 10.5.

I learned this the hard way after investing in (new Mac Pro and) ProTools LE. Fortunatelly I still have the not-so-old PC up and running and PT install disks has both PC and Mac versions...

PT 7.4 supports Leopard so you shouldn't have any problems

Hairersoft Amadeus Pro 1.3

It's cheap!  Only $40!  It got a great workflow.  It saves me hours uploading to archive.org.  I open my 24 / 96 wavs from my Microtrack II in it.  Add markers (works with CD splits) and then splits them straight to FLAC.
