Sonosax> Apogee AD-1000 questions
« on: November 14, 2003, 10:17:06 AM »
I just picked up a used Sonosax and wondering if anyone can give me a good starting point for where to begin with the levels on both units. Im used to running VMS 5u> AD-1000, with VMS set to 20, and the AD-1000 set at +4 and around 3:00 on the cal pots. Can I still run the Apogee at +4 with the Sonosax set to Lo gain? If so where should I begin with the cal pots? and where do I set the trim knobs on the Sonosax?
Im now running cmc64's into the Sonosax if that helps.
thanks.

Set the gain on the sax at about +30, and screw using the calpots.  Go into your jumpers and switch them so that you can use the purple knows to adjust gain via line-in.  I wouldn't ever use the calpots.  Keep the gain line in at +4.  This is a sweet combo.  I ran this before going mini-me style!
