I think we have a better chance of a Lunatec V4.

Alright!  Congrats!  I'd be real interested in hearing how it sounds with the Schoeps.

i concur.

nothing touches the ad2k for detail, esp in the high frequencies.

i did a comp here awhile back with stock v3 vs ACM v3 vs AD2K with mk4's+cmc6

I had mine done as well - it resolved my only complaint about the V3 - it didn't come close to the Benchmark.
Now its much more of a "preference" rather than a clear choice.

it might not touch the ad2k but its pretty damn close and for not having to lug around another box and battery that was the deal breaker for me and why I got rid of my ad2k

This thing sounds massive. I have to turn down the bass on my stereo much more than before the mod. The bass sounds huge and round. I'd say it does produce more of a 3d image. I've only used it twice so far. I'll try to do a comp at Panic charlotte.

Significant difference between the three to my ears, even on crappy laptop and mid grade computer speakers.  I'm away from the home stereo currently.

those are all cut to the same starting point,i suggest putting them in a good multitrack program like vegas where you can toggle them on or off at the same point. there are a lot of varying kinds of musical passes in there to check out
