so did you ever run the j-disc or did you already write me back saying you just split them instead ??? I cant remember........

Nah, I just split them. I built a J-disc, but I'm really trying to make the split omni thing work, for now.

try the Healy Method Chuck! Someone ran ity for MMW last summer at a bigger festival and it sounded GREAT! I think If I ever got another pair of omni's, I would ONLY run them Healy Method just from hearing that one tape from last summer. I believe it was a pair of 482's as well! and its ALOT less hassle than doing J-Disc OR Splits.....Healy method is just each mic facing the total opposite from the other one(180 degrees seperation) and both mics are perpendicular to the stage. i guess it doesnt matter how far apart theyre split, since the imaging is coming from each mic being exactly 90 degrees OFF-AXIS from teh stage :) as long as your XLR's arent hitting each other, youre good to go. I imagine that would be VERY easy with a vert bar!
