i know its a little late but i hope alot of people will get to hear my 3 mic mix with the ua5

What show is the 3-mic mix you made?
I used to thumb my nose up at 3-mic mixes, believing they weren't produced with "purist" stereo technique. Seems I was really missing out all those years, because I've heard some very nice sounding 3-mic mix recordings in the past few years. Especially ORTF or DIN cardioids with an omni mixed in.
I was very seriously considering buying a UA-5 just to make use of the matrixing option it offers. I have three Josephson/MBHO C-640 bodies with two cardioid capsules. All I'd need is an omni capsule and I'd be set.
I just bought a busted AD-1000 as a "project" recently and haven't gotten it up and running yet.
I'm interested in hearing your recording. Unfortunately I've only got a dial-up ISP now. Maybe someone would let me B&P for a copy.
Good luck.
