what xlr pin do i solder onto a rca plug?

im about to make some XLR>rca cables right now and i need to know what i need to solder onto the rca plugs
preciate the help

sorry for the confusion, so i splice the xlr cable open and theres a steel braiding around the 4 inner wires, which color represents the type of pin?

Are you modifying an existing cable which already has XLR connectors on one (or both) end(s)?  If so, trace the colored wires back to the pins on the XLR connector.  It's the XLR pins that Moke was referring to in his earlier post where he first listed the XLR pin, and the target point on the RCA connector.

yeah! mokesters got it right, I just read this in my recording book (practical recording techniques) at work.

looks like the have pins 1 and 3 connected but it is unnecessary, so do like moke said

Yeah, all I've read says join the shield with the ground to the outer ring on the RCA...

An easy trick to remember:  Blue = 2.  

I'll probably make my own interconnect this weekend...
