Projects, projects, projects!!!
« on: January 04, 2012, 03:24:37 AM »
anyone want to help me get some stuff out?  Post-mixing, eq'ing (if you feel necessary) uploading to archive.org/etree/dime/etc.??

Some stuff I'm sitting on :

Gregg Allman Band (w/Devon Allman opener) Pageant St. Louis MO 01/03/12 (2 sources)
Buddy Guy - Jesse Hall, Columbia MO - Oct. 2011
Wood Brothers (w/Clay Cook opener) Mojo's Columbia MO 2011 (2 sources)
Robert Plant/Band of Joy (w/North Mississippi All-Star Duo opener) The Fox, St. Louis June 2011 (2 sources)
Drive-By Truckers (w/Those Darlins opener) Pageant St L MO Oct. 2011 (2 sources)
Jason Isbell/400 Unit -Old Rockhouse St. Louis MO - 2011 (2 sources)
Mötley Crue (w/New York Dolls and Poison openers) - Sprint Center Kansas City MO (2 sources)
and some Driving Wheel and Steepwater Band shows

If anyone would like to help out; I can send source files to you and all the info I have. With my own band, school, work, and everything else I have no time to get this done, and I some people may even do it for the fun, and to get the music out.

It's be awesome to get this stuff out there.

Lemme know, j

Damn!  Sorry to hear that.

yeah, it sucks - lucky they didn't take much (my new P-Bass and Tele Deluxe were both out and by the door!) just my ipod dock, a prescription of Xanax and a few other nicknacks that insurance is going to cover.

Diamonds - going to send your package here shortly; I got the raw board and my AUD source of Sat's SWB show, and it's BANGING!  Got Mofro/Daryl Hance on Friday as well (Dennis, if you want it, I can send that one along to you)

I was out of town taping shows - and my roommate was with me.  Sucks balls, but again, counting my blessings.  it could've been way worse.

Didn't have a seat, so not the best spot as far as chattiness...got busted taping 3 times, yet somehow didn't miss a note of music.

Don't know the setlists, but I know Devon did 'Torch' and 'Midnight Rider', and the Gregg set is almost self-explanitary (as well as being similar to many from last year)

yo, he and his ol' lady have  become hip to the awesome shows/venues we have in MO (and the midwest in general); we did Jayhawks at The Pageant - he did a bunch of Tesla, GN'R, etc.  Had a good time.

I'll see about getting his Jayhawks source to do a matrix - that would sound awesome, as we were on opposite sides of the venue; he was up high, I was directly under the right stack.

good times.

OK, looking forward to getting the shows.

So is Steve as crazy a fucker in person as he is on the internet? ;D

aw, believe it or not, he's a giant fucking teddy bear.  He just weeds out the non-hackers that don't pack the gear, so-to-speak, hahaha!!

No, he's a straight-up dude, and his girl is super sweet.  Warped sense of humor, but I have thick skin, and I'm not a pussy, so he's never bothered me, even when he's a jack-ass!!

And Daryl Hance is a founding member of Mofro who has a solo thing now that is really cool.  We've played a few shows with him, and have got to be friends over the past year - he put us on the list for the show last Friday, got us VIP access, set our stands up inside the cage, etc - VERY COOL.  Huck shot video of Daryl's set, but we had to shut the camera down for Mofro. Anyway, Todd Smallie and AC are Daryl's rhythm section for the Mofro tour, Daryl just hopped on the bus with his guitar!

HMMMM  There is a guy who always manages to video Mofro (with permission, I think) in Florida.

OK, send Daryl's set as well. :)

I think this had more to do with the venue than Mofro (The Pageant are Nazis)

yes, my burner was apparantly being finicky - one of the discs I sen Dennis was blank as well.  Too weird; Yes, Driving Wheel can go on etree, dime, and/or LMA; the Duarte is uncirculated and can go on etree and/or dime (he's open trading).  DW is actually (amazingly) more popular on dime than on etree - about a 2-1 ratio for downloads sometimes, so they can all go on dime to help your ratio.

You got another package coming my way? :)  I actually took a break this weekend to record and master a show of my own. ;D

I got one Duarte on a disc you sent me alst time, but the notes written on the disc don't match the date on the folder on the disc.  Not sure if it's the same show beatkilla has or not, so I've pout it aside for now.

By the way - Duarte is also on the LMA

Cool...then I'll leave the Duarte to him.  :)  I got tied up doing one of my one recordings, so didn't finish Float Jam yet.  This week, sometime.

Insanity, hahaha!!   I can understand - I'm a 'stay busy' person myself - school full-time, work, band, etc.   Taping is a fun hobby, but a majority if what I tape wouldn't be shared without help from a lot of other people!!  But it's fun to help get some music out in some way, because I love it.   Music RULES.

Oh, yeah - I have a few of my own that I haven't done yet, a whole bunch of my buddy Seth's (Seth01 on here), and yours.  Plus some guy is supposedly sending me 5 Rich Robinson solo shows to master for him.  And my buddy Mike1061 has the whole recording from Clapton's Crossroads Festival in Chicago that I've been beggin hin to send me forever...

Sometimes I get tired of doing them...and then I get on a roll where I work on them every day.  I just spent probably 10 hours working on Seth's My Morning Jacket show, and I hated the band.  HAHAHA  It is more enjoyable when you like the music, for sure.

So far the closest I've come to making anything out of this is the free Daryl Hance download...and if you included a T-shirt and/or CD in the latest package. ;D

If anyone is interested, I have some pretty cool shows that need 'matrixing'/post-processing, and some folks here might be inclined to take a whack at.

Here's a partial list of what I'm sitting on:

Blackberry Smoke from KC last month (SBD and AUD)
Weir Robinson & Greene trio from KC (2 different AUD sources)
NMAS from Columbia MO at the Blue Note in Feb (2 different AUD sources)
NMAS duo opener from St. Louis (2 different AUD sources)
Robert Plant and the Band of Joy from St. Louis (2 different AUD sources)
Those Darlins from St. L (2 diff AUD sources)
Drive-By Truckers from St. L (2 diff AUD sources)
Jason Isbell & The 400 Unit at ORH in St L (2 diff AUD sources)
Mötley Crüe/Poison/New York Dolls from Sprint Center in KC (2 diff AUD sources)
Buddy Guy - Jesse Hall, Columbia MO - Oct. 2011
Wood Brothers (w/Clay Cook opener) Mojo's Columbia MO 2011 (2 sources)
Chris Duarte Band from The Mission in Jeff City (SBD, a l'il hot but very listenable - my drummer actually taped it - the same show discussed above)
Ryan Adams and Jason Isbell, Peabody Opera House St L
a few Steepwater Band shows (SBD and AUD for each show)
and even a few Driving Wheel shows (SBD and AUD for each)

if anyone wants to work on any of these, let me know - I've started a new semester, we're recording an album in the studio, and playing a bunch of shows so I simply won't have time; otherwise they will sit on the hard drive.
