Post by: ninjadave on March 09, 2005, 11:48:47 AM
if i wanted to build an RC battery (9.6v 2000 NiMH) for the PS-2, what plug would i need for this to plug into the PS-2 and also take the smart charger.......i'm trying to get batteryspace.com to build me one (maybe) but i don't know the plug i need for the PS-2 since i don't own it yet... i think its 3.5mm but not sure......

thanks.

1/8" mini phono plug (mono) -- i.e. a mono version of a headphone jack you'd use with a portable music player.  don't know polarity off the top of my head.

thanks for the reply...i emailed Denecke and they said its the 1/8 mini as you said....tip is "+" and the sleeve is "ground". i assume all mono based plugs are this way.......we'll see. hopefully the dopes at radio shack know what i need. my plan is to build a battery unit similar to the one described elsewhere here that was done for the UA5 unit but it'll have only one battery and a mini plug at the end....looks easy to do.

thanks.
