Title: Audacity - Saving to FLAC
Post by: DeadGreg on March 08, 2014, 01:25:23 AM
So I have been searching the internet and this section for a while, and I have just not been able to find an answer to this question. I know how to label tracks in Audacity, and I know how to encode those tracks to FLAC. But I cannot figure out how to tell if I am encoding them to flac24 or flac16. And I would like to be able to control this choice as well. How do I export my wav files to flac24 and flac16?

Thanks in advance for your help,
Greg

Go to "Export" under the "File" menu.
Under the "Format" option, choose FLAC.
Click on the "Options" button, and you'll be able to choose bit depth and level of compression.

I thought it would be something that simple. Thanks!
