Title: Correct Charging Voltage of 9v/NIMH Batteries? Correct=8.4v@.1a
Post by: F.O.Bean on October 14, 2016, 04:18:17 AM
I just bought some of these Tenergy 9v/200mah NIMH Batteries for something I need!

And I already have this Tenergy TB6B Charger, that can charge ANYTHING on the planet!

10/21/2016 UPDATE: After talking to someone that works for 'Tenergy' battery company, it seems that a regular/single 9v/NIMH rechargeable should be set at it's NOMINAL VOLTAGE @8.4v/.1a, and NOT right @9v!!! Thank god that I know this now vs. 6+ months from now! I WAS charging them @9v/1a, which is WAY more current than Tenergy said I should be using as well as more voltage than they suggested using lol! So now I'm cycling all [5] of my 9v/200mah NIMH singles @8.4v/.1a and I'm going to see what the ending capacity & voltage is on average once they've all been cycled 5 times @9v/.1a :)

I'm waiting to hear back from Joe@Tenergy on what the nominal voltage is for a 9.6v/2000mah NIMH RC pack, and the Tenergy 9v/600mah Li-Ions! I'm 99.99% positive that a 9v/Li-Ion battery's NOMINAL VOLTAGE is 7.2v[For Li-Ion] and 7.4v[For Li-Poly], since that's all my Tenergy TB6B Charger will let me choose for Lithium batteries ;) >:D

BUMP for the update above after talking to someone at Tenergy! Charging should be done at the 9v battery's NOMINAL VOLTAGE of 8.4v@.1a on a regular/single 9v rechargeable ;)
