New UA5 Battery?
« on: October 17, 2016, 11:39:08 PM »
Hi Everyone:

I've been out of the game for a few years and need a new battery for my UA5, since I don't trust using the battery I've had in storage.  Any suggestions for a battery I can buy now?  (I also will need a new cable unless I can use the one with my old DVD battery.)

I appreciate any help.  Thanks.

UA5 will accept 12V. For example you can use this battery, it has huge capacity (ua5 will run a lot of  hours):
http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-12V-8000mAh-Protable-Rechargeable-Li-ion-Battery-Lithium-ion-for-CCTV-Camera-/251893535778?

I am using simple battery holder with 8 aaa batteries 2800mAh (ua5 will run 4  hours):

It does not matter what a battery, you will always have to reconnect the power plug. You need male plug 5.5x2.1 and you must connect it with reverse polarity (+ for outter ring, - for inner pin). It is very simple soldering. They will do it for you in 5 minutes in every electric shop.
You can find right power plug in every electric shop, here is example:
