Do you have trouble with your mic cables pulling the mics down?

I do, but I'm running some heavy Zaolla cables.

Just curious if I won't have this problem with some normal mic cables.

this would be a problem in most cases, regardless of the shock.  What I do is take a velcro tie and give the cables some slack up at the mic end and velcro it to the stand...hope that description makes some sense.

T+ nick it did.

I just set them up & they seem to be working much better. I've tried all kinds of methods. twisting, looping ect.

Overlooking the simple/best way :)

hey here's something with this mount that no one seems to be addressing.  most people who have this mount run their mics sideways... however some mics aren't side address mics.  some mics shouldnt be run this way... look into your mic and find out if its side address or not.

ok example- the AT4040, which i use in the studio all the time, is a side address mic.  that means, for me to use it for vocals i need to have that mic on its side, not vertically.

With AKG 480's? I don't see the difference either way.
