Setting Levels on SBM
« on: March 24, 2008, 02:55:55 PM »
Had my first run with my setup akg ck91->3wire battbox->oademod sbm->MT

I had the red "over" light blink a few times so I lowered the levels. Got home levels look a little low. Is it ok to blink every once and awhile. I like to run as close to "0" as possible.

I guess that is a question in bold above..   if so..  the answer is yes, it is ok for the lights to "blink"..  I forget at which number the light comes on, but I always remembered you didnt want the lights to "stay" on for more than a second or two..

right, the red light comes on at either -2 dB or -3 dB (I forget which, its been a while since I had mine).  But either way, the light blinking a few times is right where you want to be.  close to zero on the peaks.

Run that thing so that the red light is just right below staying on all the time.
