SKM 140 > Sax?
« on: August 21, 2007, 05:13:13 PM »
Can you run the Nuemann into the sax and ditch the bodies?

I wonder what SKM 140 > Sax > 722 sounds like??  Does the sax have a M/S encoder?

you will need a stock sxm2 that has been modified..  hence the "lemosax"..   and no.. I dont believe the sxm2 has an m/s decoder..

I'm almost positive Shaggy runs that combo. Only catch is you have to get two things, both of which are pretty hard to find:

1. A "Lemosax" Sonosax. Primarily used for running with Schoeps actives, instead of 2 XLR inputs it has 2 lemo inputs and a Schoeps KCY input.

2. The old school Neumann LC3 cables with lemo connectors. The standard LC3 cables with the SKM140 set WILL NOT work.

Get those 2 and you're set.
Right now nothing...in the past: Schoeps CMC6, AKG 480, AKG 460, AKG 414, MBHO 603a, Neumann KM100, ADK TL>Schoeps MK4, Schoeps MK2, Schoeps MK41, AKG ck61, AKG ck62, AKG ck63, Neumann AK40, Neumann AK50, MBHO ka200>Lunatec V2, Lunatec V3, Apogee Mini-Me, Oade M148, Oade M248, Sound Devices MP2, Sonosax SXM2>Sony (mod)SBM1, Apogee AD500>D7, D8, D100, M1, R1, R4, R09, iRiver HP120, Microtrack
