Title: 702 digi out ( coax }

anyone ever have any probs.?  could not go into a d8 the other nite.  tryed w/ my d8 at home and same prob.  get signal, but wont unpause to start recording.  any help would be great.  ed

You are feeding the D8 16 bit, 44.1 or 48 khz, correct?

you should be able to feed a D8 with a 24 bit signal, but the D8 will truncate the signal and only record 16 of those bits.  However, the signal will have to be 44.1 or 48 kHz, as DATBRAD mentioned above.

Change the settings in the 7XX menu to output the digi signal to either pro or consumer. I forget what the D8 likes. Consumer I think?

Menu option 47 (Digital Output: Mode) on latest firmware.

tried that aready.  signal comes threw, but deck wont unpause.  tried w/ 2 diff. d8's.  will have to find a diff deck to go digi in on.  ed
