Title: 722 -- deleting files
Post by: not logged in on March 16, 2005, 09:05:34 PM
so exactly how is this done in the field!?!

connected to a computer its easy, but if one was forced to delete a file at a show it doesn't seem so easy.

got a stealth show tomorrow night.  a cheap 32mb card is in the cf slot to offer up if need to be.  but since discretion is often the better part of valor (ie why get into a 5th amendment debate with security), it seems worthwhile to at least be able to go through the motions of deleting a file.

very strange!  there's no secure hold function, but assuming you get lucky and don't inadvertantly stop the recording, there's no way to delete the recording.

i used the hold-everything-but-stop function tonight successfully.  in addition i secured (with tape) piece of plastic over the stop button, so that it could not be pushed by accident.

van at the supper club.

not one of his better performances.  but, even on an off-night, he's still pretty good.  hopefully he'll rise to the occasion tonight at the apollo.

good idea. i wish the cage around the buttons on the face came out a little more like a grace box.
