Topic: 4 track mixer suggestions?/general question..

I have a few different mics, and would like to try eventually try using them together at gigs.

I guess Im asking if it would be possible to go

mic pair 1>preamp>-------------------------------/>
sbd---------->(line in)  ----------------------------- >  mixer> 722
or another mic pair-->(preamp)----------------\>

is such a thing possible?? does anyone here do that?? Just askin cuz of the upcoming brass band gigs, and after seeing someone run a multi mic setup on a tv program here its got me curious.

is that possible though fozzy??running multiple sources into the mixer then out to the 722?

yea, 4 in 2 out
ie: 1,2(IN)  would be the mgs and 3,4(IN) would be the ATs or a SBD  then you assign the 1,3 to the left out and the 2,4 to the right output.
i've only used wayne's x4 but i think all the eng 4channel mixers you can assign which out put they send to, L,R, or both.  could also run 3 mics stereo pair in coincident pattern(L,R) and a omni in the middle(both)
