Title: Mil Spec cable question
Post by: aysvideo on January 05, 2014, 03:08:53 AM
Can anyone tell me if the cable in this photo is similar to what people are using these days to build mic cables?  There are 2 conductors and a shield, so it seems like it should work, but I'm a novice at this.  You'll find the photo by clicking on the link blow, and scrolling about halfway down the page.  Thanks.

It looks OK but what is the jacket made of if not PTFE?  You don't want to end up with a stiff jacket.

Thanks Ted.  I was wondering the same thing about its flexibility.

Even though the picture is small it seems to show a jacket that has a similiar look to a CAT-5/6 cable.  Not something that looks very supple
