Isn't this Lemo for Sennheiser BF1083-U / BF1053-U? (see the edge that should prevent turning)
How many pins are inside the plug?
Is it a coaxial or multi-pin plug?

Did you also bid on this pair of black DPA's?   I won the Ebay auction for these this past Sunday.

If these lemo connectors are soldered onto the original microdots, can they be removed and the microdots still be usable?  If so, I might just get a MMA6000.

smart move....those old ones on ebay, you never know where the hell they've been, and I reckon....you may not want to know.

Fuck that noise, the ebay 4061s are a sweet deal of a steal on some mics.  They'll get plenty sweaty when you're stealthing the things anyways, so who cares if they've been sweated on by some broadway singers!  Congrats on your new mics! ;D

Yeah. Evil....suppose it is like some of these used SBMs here, crotched by gawd knows whom.  I only say 'good move' b/c I been burned before....but most of you guys appear to have gotten decent ones that are pretty well matched and whose connections are not on the fritz.  That said, a bit of a whine to Bruce Meyers at DPA in CO got me the hand matched pair that I have now straight from DPA in Denmark....ultimately the burn kinda worked in my favor!

 ;)

Mine are nearly identically matched....for once I was lucky!

I emailed the Ebay seller regarding the lemos.  He says the lemo connectors were soldered directly to the mic cables, not the microdot.  So it looks like I'll need to send mine into DPA to have them put microdots back on @ $75 each.  Unless I forget about the MMA6000 for now and just use a Sound Pro battery box, in which case all I need to do is have someone solder a stereo mini plug to both mics.  Another alternative is to buy the microdot connectors and special DPA microdot tool needed to connect them to the cable, but the tool alone is $300.  Forget that....

Yous guys should start a pool of money to BUY that tool, with so many of you buying these used DPAs.  If you buy the tool, you could charge a small fee for use and recover the money.....with any extra, donate it to TS.com!  $75 a connector is almost highway robbery (most are getting these sets for what, $300 a pair? after all this BS they'd be $450 all said and done)....just get the tool, buy a bunch of the male connectors from Tyco and be done with this mess.

The pair of 4061's I won on Ebay were waiting for me in my mailbox today.  ;D   I didn't realize how tiny these mics would be.  I don't see any need to crotch these mics when stealthing.  I can put them in an inner coat pocket and they won't be felt during patdowns.   Now I just need to ship them off to DPA tomorrow to have the microdots put on, and order a MMA6000.  Anyone know where to get the best price for a MMA6000?  I've seen them at a couple places online for $500, but heard they can be had for $450.

The mics and cables look to be in pretty good shape considering they've probably been through lots of use.  Still can't believe how tiny they are.   I wish I could have used them to tape the G Love & Special Sauce concert I went to last night.  Hopefully I'll have them back from DPA with the microdot connectors and an MA6000 in time to do some taping next weekend.  Really looking forward to trying out these mics with my Microtrack.

I have been trying to find someone to solder a 1/8 plug on the dpas I bought from Ebay.  I have yet to find anyone who will do it.
