Title: aes cable build
Post by: DaryanLenz on October 08, 2003, 04:56:57 PM
First question I guess is if aes will feed an d7?  If so, what do I need to make such a beast to come out of the mini-me?

Thanks in advance

the minime outputs pro, so even if you use a 110to75 converter you still cannot feed any consumer decks out of it. You can feed only prodecks! So even if you feed a dap1 out of the aes first you cannot put any consumer decks in that chain.

what I would like to see is someone mod the coax output into a 3-4ft long pig tail, ala the coax mod on the sbm-1

So, that basically makes the mini-me's aes useless to me then since I ditched the p1 long ago...that sucks...there has to be a way!

yep... gotta have a dap1, m1 or hhb...

You may want to give apogee a call to see if they can change it. The v3 has two aes outs, one is permanetly set to pro and the other is switchable, so it appears you can do it.

Or a Sony D-10 Pro I or II. I have the former, and have used the AES out on the Minie Me from the get-go.
